Dennis purchased the frame (which a tree was growing through) and body (near a tree, pictured) for this ’31 in 1965 while he was a senior in high school. After graduating in June, he finished the build in three months and showed the car at the Seattle Roadster Show in October 1965. The initial build included a single carb, white headers , no pinstriping and red front drums. Later, in early 1966, he added the six 2bbl carbs, chrome headers, pinstriping and Halibrand wheels. Earning six first place trophies in street rod, Dennis held this car longer than any other. Dennis sold this car through Hot Rod magazine, advertising it in the December 1972 and July 1973 issue. It is reported that a man in Texas purchased the car in July 1973 and sent his two personal mechanics up to Seattle, WA to inspect the car, close the deal and ship it back to Texas. The picture of the two men is included in the gallery.
